Title: Officer - Internal Audit

Reporting to: Head of Internal Audit

Role:

Carry out audit assignments and ensure conformance with acceptable audit standards, plans, budgets and schedules. Maintain effective working relations with Staff and Operating Management.

Job Outputs and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the annual internal audit plan.
  • Undertake comprehensive planning and risk assessment procedures relating to assigned audits to ensure that key business risks are addressed and identified.
  • Perform various audit procedures to evaluate where applicable the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance structures related to areas under audit.
  • Assist in preparing formal written reports, expressing opinions on the adequacy of the system of controls, risk management and corporate governance.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and professional qualification in Audit related field. Preferably ACCA or CPA holder.
  • Minimum of 2 years of similar experience in Banking or Financial Services environment with exposure to credit/risk control or administration.
  • Evidence of strong analytical audit skills, i.e. identifies weaknesses in controls and makes constructive recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control system in the audited areas.

Title: Legal Director

Reporting to: General Counsel

Role:

The role holder is responsible for the provision of legal advice and services to the Bank, its subsidies and projects.

Job Outputs and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, review and draft all legal documents relation to the bank day-to-day operations in both Arabic and English;
  • Providing legal advice and transactional guidance to the real estate, development infrastructure, private equity and venture capital deal teams by participating in deal team investment discussions and investment implementations.
  • Drafting and amending legal documentation for debt, equity and investment facilities (Types: murabahas, mudarabas, sukuk, restricted and unrestricted investment accounts among others)
  • Drafting, reviewing contracts and correspondences internally for the human resources, operations, Risk Management, Development Infrastructures, investment Relationship, compliance, and financial control departments.
  • Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.
  • Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • LLM from a renowned international university;
  • 7 + years of progressive post qualification experience including at least 4 years in the Investment / Commercial Islamic banking environment;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with, laws dealing with government and/or commercial contract administration, particularly contract negotiation, preparation and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory law; and
  • Knowledge of the legal aspects of capital markets.

Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Real Estate

Reporting to: Head of Development Infrastructure

Role:
The role holder is responsible for monitoring the assigned investments and ensures the original profitability targets on the acquired and managed businesses are met, and to act as coordinator on investments or projects that may be assigned. The main responsibilities will be management and coordinating the current and future GFH projects ensure that all the investment system, policy and procedures and arrangements are continuously updated and/or upgraded to meet present and future requirements of the business.

Job Outputs and Responsibilities:

  • Researched countries, industries, and companies to identify investment opportunities.
  • Maintaining current market intelligence through frequent interaction with investment banks, firms of professional advisors and other financial institutions;
  • Manage the investment and strategy of the Fund.
  • Identified and screened investment opportunities in the real estate, private equity, and infrastructure investments and build a pipeline of prospective target assets.
  • Liaise directly with the development team to assess investment opportunities.
  • Perform detailed due diligence of potential investments, including management, market, product, legal and financial analyses.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in real estate, private equity and/or fund management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business administration, economics, finance, or real estate. A CFA would also be preferable.
  • Proficient in the preparation of financial projections, financial evaluation, modelling and company valuations.
  • Ability to apply strong financial analytics to solving business problems.
  • Advanced skills in financial reporting and financial analysis.
