April 2008 marked GFH’s entry into Kazakhstan with the announcement of the US$ 10 billion Caspian Energy Hub (CEH). CEH is the latest in a series of GFH Energy Cities and was conceived in partnership with the Kazakh Government to aggregate all the commercial, technical and human resources necessary to build a 21st century home for the hydrocarbon rich Caspian region.

GFH have drawn on their own vast experience in the creation of energy infrastructures and the specialist know-how of their strategic partner PFC Energy to envision a full service economic and business center that will deliver enormous benefits to the Kazakh economy. Situated in Aktau on the shores of the Caspian, CEH will comprise significant R&D resources including centers for environmental and renewable energy, alongside educational facilities that will train a new generation of highly skilled domestic workers and attract some of the biggest names in world energy to the region.
